The TradeFrogs project aimed to build a secure, user-friendly marketplace for in-game items. With Steam integration, fast sales, and manual payment processes, the MVP gave gamers a trusted way to monetize assets. In collaboration with Görkem Kılıç, Venture Studio delivered a functional MVP that sets the stage for future automation and scale.
Understanding the Client’s Pain Points
Gamers frequently struggle with unreliable third-party platforms when trading in-game items, facing risks such as fraud, delays, and lack of payment assurance. The primary challenge was designing a platform that provided both trust and speed, enabling users to confidently sell and buy digital assets.
In conversations with the client, we identified the need for a marketplace that offered simple inventory integration, fast sales, and secure payouts. By implementing manual oversight in the MVP, we ensured operational transparency and built user confidence from the start.
Technical and Development Challenges with Secure Marketplace Integration
Developing TradeFrogs required tackling multiple technical layers: integrating with Steam’s inventory system, designing a manual-yet-scalable payment infrastructure, and creating an admin panel to oversee all transactions. Security and fraud prevention were paramount, while still ensuring a smooth user experience.
We built a modular system that allowed users to connect their Steam accounts, list items, and request payments, with administrators verifying each transaction. Using structured workflows, secure payment APIs, and layered access controls, VIZIO AI delivered a platform that balances speed with trust, ready to evolve into a fully automated marketplace in future phases.
TradeFrogs is now positioned as a reliable and secure platform for trading in-game items. By prioritizing transparency and trust through manual processes in its MVP, it delivers immediate value to gamers while laying the foundation for marketplace scalability.
With this successful first release, Görkem Kılıç is set to expand TradeFrogs into a more automated, global-ready trading hub, supported by Venture Studio's ongoing development and maintenance expertise.
