Helping Qurio LLC build Briefio AI, a mobile-first academic research platform that turns dense papers into concise summaries and audio-based insights for students, researchers, and busy professionals.
Briefio AI was created to make academic research easier to consume in the moments when users do not have time to sit down and read long papers in full. Students, researchers, and professionals often need to stay current with complex literature, but the format of academic content can make that process slow, demanding, and difficult to fit into daily routines.
The client wanted to build an MVP that could simplify this experience without reducing the value of the research itself. The goal was to create a product that could summarize academic papers clearly, convert those summaries into audio, and help users engage with research while commuting, walking, working, or moving between tasks.

The challenge was making academic content faster to understand and easier to access.
Academic papers are often long, dense, and written for deep focus. For many users, the issue is not lack of interest, but lack of time and flexibility. Researchers and students may need to review multiple papers quickly, identify key ideas, or revisit important concepts without reading every page line by line.
Briefio AI needed to solve this by creating a more accessible research experience. The product had to help users move from a full academic document to a digestible summary while preserving clarity, meaning, and usefulness.
The challenge was also experience-driven. The app needed to feel simple, mobile-friendly, and practical for users who wanted research insights on the go, not another heavy academic tool.

We built an MVP around AI summarization and audio-first research consumption.
The solution focused on transforming long academic papers into concise, structured summaries that users could understand quickly. The platform used AI-powered summarization to extract the most important ideas from dense research content and present them in a more readable format.
To make the experience more flexible, summaries were also converted into customizable audio. This allowed users to listen to research insights instead of only reading them, creating a more convenient way to stay engaged with academic literature throughout the day.

The technical foundation balanced accuracy, clarity, and smooth playback.
One of the core technical challenges was ensuring that summarization remained useful for academic content. The output needed to be short enough to save time, but accurate enough to preserve the integrity of the original paper. This required careful work around prompt structure, content processing, and how summaries were presented to the user.
The audio layer added another level of complexity. Summaries had to be converted into high-quality listening experiences without making the content feel robotic, confusing, or disconnected from the source material. Custom audio players were implemented to support seamless playback and give users a smoother mobile experience.
